NLIAccelerator
|
|
|
|
The NLIAccelerator Suite
of Software solutions comprises of three packages DevAccel, BoardAccel and SimAccel. These
3 packages, working in conjunction with one another provides users the
ability to rapidly implement and test the software stack in tandem
with the hardware development.
The NLIAccelerator Suite of
packages will shortly be augmented with two more packages: ChassisAccel and TrunkAccel.

DevAccel
|
|
|
|
The Device Accelerator or DevAccel line
of products forms the lowest layer of the NLIAccelerator Suite
of embedded software products, residing between the devices and the BoardAccel layer.
DevAccel
provides an easy to use, abstracted mechanism to control and monitor
complex networking devices. This layer of software alleviates the system
developer from the need to master the intricacies of the networking chips
that are being used and frees up the developer to focus on the higher layer
differentiating features of the system.

BoardAccel
|
|
|
|
The Board Accelerator or BoardAccel line of products forms the
second layer of the NLIAccelerator Suite
of embedded software products, residing between the User’s Chassis
Management software and the DevAccel layer.
BoardAccel
extends the DevAccel
functionality to the Board level. It provides an easy to use, abstracted
mechanism to control and monitor complex networking cards (such as Line
Cards, Access Cards or Switch Matrix Cards). This layer of software
alleviates the system developer from the need to master the intricacies of
the networking chips that are being used on the board and frees up the
developer to focus on the higher layer differentiating features of the
system.

SimAccel
|
|
|
|
The Simulation Accelerator or SimAccel line
of products forms the simulation layer of the NLIAccelerator Suite
of software products. SimAccel
substitutes the device (or hardware) with a control plane behavioral model
of the device and performs True Register Space behavior for Software validation. The SimAccel suite
support spans Framers, Switch Fabrics and Network Processors and alleviates
the dependence on
Hardware or Test equipment for validation of the User’s software
stack. This makes SimAccel a very powerful tool
that can help shield the User from timeline hits due to Silicon Delivery
slippage.

All software is provided
to the Customer in ANSI-C source code format along with extensive
documentation on the use of the different functions along with examples of
how to use them.
